Learn about the features, enhancements, and fixes introduced in each release of Absolute Home & Office.

This release introduces the following enhancements:

  • If you are unable to locate your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) setup key, and you need to recover access to your account, you can now contact Absolute Technical Support and request a reset. Learn more
  • On the Subscriptions page, you can now change the subscription assigned to a device. Learn more

  • If you're signed in to a Windows device as an Administrator, you can now run the installer without extracting the zip file first. Learn more

This release introduces the following improvement:

  • If a device's location wasn't available using Wi-Fi or OS Location, Unknown was shown instead of the device's IP location information. This issue is now fixed.

Official support for devices running macOS 12 has been removed; macOS 12 was end-of-life in 2024.

This release introduces the following enhancements:

  • The following changes were added for Mac devices:
    • Due to changes introduced by Apple, the location tracking feature has been updated. To track the location of your device, you will now need to allow Absolute to collect location information on your device. Learn more
    • Devices running macOS 15 are now supported.

      Official support for devices running macOS 11 has been removed; macOS 11 was end-of-life in 2023.

  • You can now click Cancel to close the Search panel.
  • The Add Device button is no longer removed when no licenses are available.
  • When an activation code is pasted in the Activate Subscription field, any copied spaces before or after the code are now ignored and the code is accepted.

This release introduces the following enhancements:

  • You can now search for a device by entering its device name or serial number in the new Search field.

The procedure for unlocking a Windows device using its unlock code has changed. You no longer need to press esc before entering the code, but you now need to press enter to submit it. Also, if your keyboard has a numeric keypad, you can now use it to enter the unlock code. Learn more

  • Mac devices are now supported. Install the Absolute Agent on your Mac devices to ensure that they stay protected. Learn more
